Dr. Hany was graduated in 2003 from Cairo University medical school (kasr AlAiny), Egypt. Having passed with distinction in both surgical and medical specialities, he was accepted into a highly competitive General Surgery residency programme. He ranked top of his class in the Masters of Surgery program. He has been extensively trained in General Surgery including both open and advanced laparoscopic techniques, in addition to dedicated advanced laparoscopic Gastrointestinal surgery training.
He completed his MD degree at Cairo University. The topic of his research was predictive factor of sever hypocalcaemia after parathyroidectomy.
His General Surgery work includes laparoscopic cholecystectomy, advanced endocrine surgery, bariatric surgery, and all kinds of Hernia repairs.
He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FRCS), Fellow of the European Board of Surgery (FEBS), Fellow of the American College of Surgery (FACS)
Dr. Hany was appointed as a Lecturer of surgery at Cairo university in 2012 and works closely with the endocrinologists, oncologists and radiologists to reach the best possible outcome for his patients.
After completing his research and publications, Dr. Hany was appointed as associate professor of surgery in 2017 in Cairo University with a keen interest in teaching both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He has a commitment to research and has lectured both nationally and internationally.
